James Meredith was the first black student to enter the University of Mississippi in 1962 under armed guard. He matriculated and graduated under intense pressure. There was a riot at the University. Two were killed and hundreds injured.
My mother, Eleanor Bryson Jackson, class of 1945, celebrated her Golden Girl Reunion in 1995 when the class of 1975 celebrated our 20 year reunion. This was a proud and sentimental experience for my mother and me. She was so excited to be recognized by the College as a Golden Girl!!💙

Terry left the Xerox Corporation to serve as a program secretarial officer in the first Clinton Administration as the Director of Science and Technical Information at the Department of Energy from 1990 to 1993.
They're celebrating race walking 26.2 Miles with Adena's daughter, Malika, who had recently finished Spelman. Adena went on the finish several marathons, half-marathons and shorter races.
Terry participated in the President's Commission on Executive Exchange and was assigned to the Department of Transportation for the year, where she worked on bringing the principles of Total Quality Management to the agency. During this program, they toured a number of European Countries including Paris,Vienna, Budapest, Dusseldorf, and the Vatican representing the executive branch. They also studied at Harvard the impending (at the time) European Economic Union and the unification of Germany.
